WELCOME TO THE COURSE!

OVERVIEW

If you are interested in learning how to DJ or just looking for a new hobby, then this is the course for you! We aim to make learning this new skill as straight forward as possible and are here to set you well on your way. As with everything, a solid foundation is your best starting point. This course will cover everything you need to know to become a confident DJ.

 

You will learn how to use essential DJ software Rekordbox DJ, hardware set-up and recommendations, power sources and cabling, buttons, knobs and faders, how to count music, and how to beat match by ear and we will cover advanced techniques such as looping, using FX creatively and mixing songs in key.

 

Your instructors Stephen Kirkwood & Steven Galloni have nearly 20 years of DJ experience between them and have been teaching 100's of students the fundamentals of DJing for many years at SKapade Studios in Dumbarton, Scotland. After completing this course, you will understand what it takes to mix your favourite songs, and have the confidence to play at parties and in clubs!
